Become Member

Any person who desires to become a member of the club should have the following qualifications:

  • Not below the age of 18 (Eighteen)
  • Not a student
  • Not an insolvent
  • Not expelled by any other club or recognised institution

Admission of Members

  • Every applicant for membership for any category shall apply to the Managing Committee for any category in the prescribed form in duplicate duly filling all the columns and paying the entrance fees.
  • The application shall be recommended by two eligible members of the club
  • The recommending members shall not be members of the managing committee
  • Application fort Resident and Non Resident membership shall be accompanied by deposit and advance subscription prescribed in section 14.
  • Application for the temporary membership shall be accompanied by the subscription for 6 (Six) months and the deposit as prescribed in section 14.
  • One copy of the application shall be pasted on the notice board of the club at least a week before the managing committee takes it up for scrutiny
  • The applicant should present himself before the managing committee on the date application is taken up for scrutiny. He should be informed of the date and time at least a week in advance, with a copy to the sponsors.
  • The managing Committee shall take up the application for scrutiny on the date already notified.
  • The agenda for the managing committee meeting should specify the name of the applicant who has applied for membership and his sponsors.
  • The managing committee shall decide by ballot by a simple majority whether the application should be admitted or rejected.
  • Members can inform the managing committee in writing if they have any objection regarding the admission of any applicant specifying clearly their reasons for the same. In such cases, the application shall be considered at the next meeting and the member who has given the objection shall be required to attend that meeting to substantiate his views.
  • The decision of the managing committee shall be final. The managing committee need not assign reasons for the decisions taken.
  • An applicant whose application is rejected shall not be eligible to apply for membership again before the expiry of one year from the date on which his application was rejected
  • The newly admitted member will be on probation for ( a period of ) six months. After the probation period the managing committee may admit the applicant as a member of the club. If admitted, and his name shall be entered in the register of members. The applicant should be informed about his admission or rejection within 10 (ten) day. The names of the members on probation as well as those finally accepted by the managing committees shall be put on the notice board with their bio – data. The new members shall be introduced to the members present in the club within a week. They shall also be introduced before dinner on Independence day or Republic day or general body meeting whichever comes first.
  • The managing committee can terminate the membership of a temporary member or probationer at any time without assigning reasons.

Disqualification of Membership

A member shall be deemed to have disqualified himself and shall lose his membership of the club if

  • Is adjudged as an insolvent by a court of law.
  • Is found to be unsound mind by a court of law.
  • Is convicted of a criminal offence involving moral turpitude by a court of law.
  • Misbehaves by Assault or attempt to assault any member or staff of the club and misappropriation of club fund.
  • Using vulgar and derisive language against any member or staff.
  • Not abiding by the rules of the club or instructions of the managing committee.
  • Misuse or destroyal of property.
  • Any action which, in the opinion of the managing committee is against the interest of the club.
